Kemitt, an Egypt-based furniture e-commerce platform, has raised a six-figure seed fundraise from a group of Saudi Angel investors. These funds will be used to facilitate Kemitt’s expansion throughout Egypt. They also plan to use the funds to provide high quality products with the low market prices by fostering strategic partnerships with a vast network of manufacturers.

“We are very excited about the opportunity this investment gives us. It will enable us to scale up our operations and expand to new markets,” said Mahmoud Fouad, co-founder and CEO of Kemitt.

Kemitt’s online platform provides customers with access to over 15,000 SKUs, with a convenient on-demand manufacturing option and 7-to-12 day delivery service. By fully digitizing the shopping experience and using the most advanced technology available in the market, Kemitt aims to optimize the process and help customers save time on their orders, while offering convenient payment and financing plans.

“We invest in technology to drive growth, as we have prioritised solving logistical pain-points to ensure a smooth journey from the factory to customers’ houses. We believe that digitising the furniture industry in the region is crucial for the local economy,” Fouad added.

The platform ultimately aims to connect products and furniture designers with consumers by handling all the manufacturing, overhead, and last-mile logistics. The startup plans to use the funds to further expand its team and operations, develop its technology, and enter new markets in the MENA region, starting with Saudi Arabia.
