Egypt to Host Its First and Largest Oil & Gas Exhibition

The Global Oil & Gas Middle East and North Africa Exhibition will this year take place in Egypt, the largest non-OPEC oil producer in Africa.

From the region’s most influential policy makers, to technical experts and commercial directors, the exhibition and conference will gather all stakeholers related to oil, an industry that expects $525 billion of investments in the next four to five years across the MENA region.

The exhibition will be held from January 27th to January 29th 2016 at the Cairo International Convention Centre, aiming to address challenges the region’s challenges of maintaining upstream energy investments to keep up with a fast-growing domestic demand, while helping to satisfy global energy needs.

Parallel to the exhibition, a technical conference will run with presentations on the opportunities and challenges in the industry today, as well as the latest technological innovations. The event is organised by ITE Oil & Gas in partnership with BME Global, an international events company headquartered in London, with an operating branch in Cairo.

Egypt, a major transit route for oil shipped from the Arabian Gulf to Europe and the United States, has received $2.9 billion of investment in the past two years, with plans to receive $740 billion in energy projects across the region over the next five years.

Less than a month ago, Italian company Eni discovered the “largest-ever find in the Mediterranean sea”, as it unveiled a massive 30 trillion cubic feet natural-gas discovery off the coast of Egypt.
