Flat6Labs & ESLSCA Launch Entrepreneurship Programme in Egypt

Flat6Labs Egypt has launched an incubation programme for undergraduate students in partnership with ESLSCA University, a French university with 13 campuses across different Egyptian governorates. The programme selects 100 undergraduate students to help them develop the knowledge and tools they'll need to launch competitive products and start sustainable businesses upon graduation. Ultimately, the programme aims to give participants as much experience outside of academia as possible, something key to its goals.

“In addition to enhancing entrepreneurship education, this reinvented university acceleration programme will be a significant resource not only to the ESLSCA institution, but also to the community at large in innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship, technology commercialisation, and regional technological and economic development," Ramez El Serafy, CEO at Flat6Labs, says.

The programme will take place over two phases in an eight-month period. During the first phase, 100 students will be selected and grouped into teams of 25-to-30 people. These teams will be provided with basic training on entrepreneurship awareness, design thinking and customer discovery, and will be given several opportunities to be coached directly by market experts.

During the second phase, the teams will be divided further into two tracks: the TopX Track, where 10 startups will receive intensive entrepreneurial training over 3 months, and the Frontier Track, where the remaining startups will continue to gain entrepreneurial skills. At the end of the programme, the startup teams will be able to pitch their proposals to a panel of Flat6Labs and ESLSCA experts.
