Former Prime Minister Hisham Qandil's one year prison sentence has been reversed after the sentence was successfully appealed in a Cairo court.
According to Ahram Online, the decision reverses the one year sentence that was upheld in September, 2013. Qandil had received the one year sentence for failing to uphold a court order to re-nationalise the Tanta Flax and Oil Company.
Qandil was arrested by the army on July 3, 2013, along with a group of other leading Muslim Brotherhood figures.
