Home Services App FilKhedma Raises New Funds from The Cairo Angels

This marks FilKhedma’s fourth investment round to date, following earlier rounds funded by leading VC firms Algebra Ventures, Glint and Egypt-based angel investor KiAngel.

Cairo-based home services marketplace, FilKhedma, has raised an undisclosed amount in their latest investment from The Cairo Angels – an international network of angel investors with vested interest in empowering startups in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa.

Founded in 2014 by investment banker turned Entrepreneur, Omar Ramadan, FilKhedma connects highly rated technicians with customers seeking a range of home maintenance services from plumbing and carpentry to electricity and painting.

"We are very happy to welcome Cairo Angels on board FilKhedma and tap into the breadth of experience of the different angels within the network,” Ramadan said. “This investment comes just ahead of a significant milestone for the business to be announced very soon. The investment by Cairo Angels will help us further grow our home cleaning and beauty services and generate more GMV from our B2B2C partnerships.”
