Jihadists Target Maadi Schools

US security officials have issued a dire warning urging Cairo foreign English teachers to beware of Jihadist attacks.

The bulletin comes after an anonymous posting on a terror forum, which encouraged attacks against American and other international schools in the Middle East, including western teachers employed here.

The sickening post specifically mentioned Maadi and Saudi Arabia's Jeddah as locations with high concentrations of potential targets. US diplomats claim that they are unaware of specific threats made against a particular school.

However, the US is now working with schools in the area to review their security procedures. Meanwhile the embassy has also advised individuals to remain vigilant regarding their personal security and stay alert to local security developments.

A warning issued by US officials advises teachers to: "Avoid crowds or large gatherings when traveling in public. Know where you are going and have a plan of what to do in the event you encounter demonstrations or violence. Tell co-workers or neighbors where you’re going and when you intend to return."
