The UAE’s Ma’an Authority for Social Contribution is now accepting applications for its 2021 Grants Program, which offers critical funding support for non-profit organisations and social enterprises affected by COVID-19 in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifying businesses will be eligible to receive up to AED 200,000 in financial assistance. Alongside the financial benefits, Ma’an will work closely with grant recipients, providing them with the tools and resources conducive to driving sustainable and impactful change in Abu Dhabi.

The program was established to support third sector organisations committed to addressing crucial societal issues as part of Ma’an’s efforts to steer social change and innovation in Abu Dhabi. Recipients of the grant will be able to use the funds to cultivate opportunities and invest in initiatives geared at making Abdu Dhabi’s communities more inclusive and cohesive.

Her Excellency Salama Al Ameemi, Director General of Ma’an, said that “through the Grants program, we continue to affirm our commitment in assisting not-for-profit organisations, third sector entities and social enterprises by providing them with key financial support in order for them to develop and grow.”

The program comes at a critical time as non-profits and social enterprises seek to recover from the impacts of COVID-19. Organisations in the social sectors have had to make major adjustments to accommodate the loss of revenues impacting the everyday lives of Abu Dhabi residents—specifically, People of Determination, youth, senior citizens, and families on low incomes.

Essentially, the Grant program is designed to help them, and those in need across Abu Dhabi, tangible, impactful support.
