It may not by everybodys' idea of a perfect Valentine's Day date, but former President Mohamed Morsi is due to face spy charges on Febraury 16. The former president is set to face espionage charges at a Cairo court just two days after the greeting card holiday, according to state-owned media.

Morsi is said to have conspired with Hamas, the Palestinian militant group whose stronghold is in neighbouring Gaza, and its Lebanese ally Hizbollah, to “smuggle arms, organise military training for group members, and to stir chaos and threaten national security.”
