The New Valley Governorate has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Supply and Greece's Orange Be Global Ltd. to create a new model farm and logistics zone, which is hoped to create 25,000 jobs.
The New Valley governorate, aka El Wadi El Gedid, will soon be the site of a large farm and logistics project that's unprecedented in the area. The Ministry of Supply, the New Valley Governorate and Greece's Orange Be Global Ltd. have signed an agreement to build a model farm and a logistics zone in the area. The model farm will be built with the latest technologies at 10,000 feddan in the first stage, and 50,000 feddan in the second.
This is the first time that a foreign company has invested in New Valley land in coordination with the Egyptian Agricultural Bank. The 100-acre large logistical zone will include commercial markets, packaging and sorting factories, export terminals to increase Egyptian trade to other nations, and an industrial zone for the food industry.
The agreement is hoped to create 25,000 job opportunities, and attract less-established crops and industries into the governorate.
