Talabat to Launch ‘Talabat Kitchen’ Concept at Expo 2020 Dubai
The news paves the way for Talabat to enter into the growing cloud kitchen sector.
Kuwait-born food delivery platform Talabat has been announced as the Official Food Delivery Provider for Expo 2020 Dubai, set to showcase over 30 brands and 15 different cuisines from around the world. Most importantly, it will be unveiling its new ‘Talabat Kitchen’ concept, a cloud kitchen that will gather various eateries in one location.
Built on a sustainable model, the two-storey cloud kitchen will showcase what talabat believes is the future of food delivery experiences, featuring 10 delivery vehicles and a robotic ice-cream confectioner and barista.
By gathering multiple food vendors in one location that has its own delivery vehicles, the cloud kitchens represent a more efficient food delivery model. “Through our enhanced agreement with Expo 2020, we are able to showcase futuristic concepts,” said Talabat CEO Tomaso Rodriguez.
“Our cloud kitchen concept brings unique advantages,” he added, said that “in addition to offering customers a wide choice of freshly prepared foods from many different cuisines, it also minimises waste and makes our food delivery service even more efficient and nimble.”
Talabat Kitchen will cater to both dine-in and delivery customers, with Talabat’s delivery workers delivering to fixed locations throughout Expo 2020 Dubai’s grounds using sustainable e-scooters. Visitors to the exposition will be able to order through the Talabat app, which is already available on Google Play, Huawei AppGallery, and the IOS App Store.
Expo 2020 Dubai will run from 1st October, 2021 until 31st March, 2022.
