Already used across MENA, Europe and the US, the new investment will fuel the startup’s ambitious global expansion plans.

Dubai-based tech startup, Arrow Labs, a specialist in workflow management, has announced that it has closed a Series A round worth $5 million. Led by US venture capital firm, Draper Associates, with participation from GlobalVentures and B&Y Ventures, the funding will be channelled into developing the startup's platform, specifically enhancing its machine learning capabilities, with a view to expanding into new markets and boosting growth in the US market.

Arrow Labs is no stranger to foreign markets and, since being founded in 2011 by Rami Darwish, has gained clients in MENA, Europe, and the US, in the telecoms, oil and gas and logistics sectors. It has done so by disrupting the way in which companies can manage field resources, using smart technologies to keep deskless frontline workers connected.

Accessed from any device or wearable, the startup’s fully-integrated platform connects employees, machines and facilities in its aim to deliver an efficient and elevated workflow execution. Arrow Labs claims that its platform reduces operating costs by 20%, increases staff productivity by 30%, and business efficiency by 40%.

For founder & Managing Partner of Draper Associates, Time Draper, Arrow Labs potential is limitless and this new funding could well be a critical moment for its ambitious expansion plans. “For many years, investment in critical remote working tools has focused almost exclusively on office based staff,” he said. “This has caused front-line workers to become disconnected. This is a global issue, affecting hundreds of millions of people, and a solution is required. Arrow Labs’ technology has really caught my eye. They have built the solution the world needs, which is already being used by some of the biggest global brands.”
