‘122’ Set to Be First Ever Egyptian Film Screened in Pakistani Cinemas

It’s even going to be dubbed in Urdu.

In a surprising change of pace for Pakistani cinemagoers, Egyptian thriller/horror, 122, is set to hit cinemas on January 18th, becoming the very first Egyptian movie to get a commercial release in the Asian country.

Having been released in Egypt on January 3rd, the film will be dubbed in Urdu. Directed by Iraqi filmmaker, Yasir Al Yasiri,  and written by acclaimed screenwriter, Salah El Gehniny, the film stars Amina Khalil, Ahmed El Fishawy and Ahmed Dawood, and is one of the first Arab films made for the 4DX format.

The film tells the story of a couple who find themselves in a veritable maze of horror as they try and escape a hospital after an accident.
