15 Year Olds Can Now Create Their National IDs

The new draft law would lower the age in which Egyptian citizens coulld get IDs from 16 to 15 and a half.

The Cabinet has approved a draft law to lower the age in which Egyptian citizens can obtain their national ID, from 16 years old to 15 years and six months old.


The draft law - which was written by the Supreme Standing Committee for Human Rights - would amend provisions in Law 143 of 1994.
