In the run up to the highly anticipated 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) taking place in Sharm El Sheikh this November, 18,000 on-ground workers will be receiving the COVID-19 vaccine booster shot, ensuring their safety as well as the safety of visitors.
The vaccinations are part of Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population’s COP27 nationwide health safety plan, which includes airport quarantine facilities, mobile and fixed clinics, and fully-equipped ambulance services. A small field hospital is also being established within the COP27 premises further supporting the upgrades at the Sharm El Sheikh International Hospital for emergency cases.
