25,000 Affordable Housing Units to Be Built with Green Standards

Egypt is building 25,000 public housing units with green standards in mind, bringing low income families into homes that are energy efficient and properly equipped for recycling.

Egypt has announced that they will build 25,000 public housing units in accordance with a new set of green architectural standards.

These standards - which were put together by the World Bank Group, the Social Housing Fund, and the Housing & Building National Research Center - should help create homes that are energy efficient, properly equipped for recycling and waste disposal, and able to use renewable energy sources when possible.
