3-Day Shutdown For Stores That Break COVID-19 Rules During Black Friday

Although Black Friday officially falls on November 27th, many shops have chosen to begin their sales as early as this weekend. Around this time, the shops will be looked at closely to see if they're neglecting any preventative measures.

As Black Friday nears, so does the crowd of shoppers looking to take advantage of one of the biggest sales seasons of the year - and of course, the stores looking to take advantage of each and every one of those shoppers. In the midst of a major pandemic, this kind of shopping behaviour presents itself as a risk that some shops may be happy to overlook. Which would explain why the Prime Minister has announced that any shop that doesn’t adhere to the national guidelines and preventative measures against the Coronavirus will be forced to shut down for three days.

Although Black Friday officially falls on November 27th, many shops have chosen to get a head start and begin their sales as early as this weekend. Around this time, the shops will be looked at closely to see if they're neglecting any preventative measures, namely: not allowing anyone to enter the  shop without wearing a mask, adhering to social distancing protocol within the shop itself, and closing at 10PM.
