Designers from all around Egypt are using animals, people, objects, and – well, basically anything that comes to mind, to recreate the Arabic alphabet as part of the Arabic Type Challenge. The options are endless and the artists have expressed themselves in unimaginable ways – no seriously, they made our jaws drop. Some of them shot the Serif and have taken typography to a whole new level. Get the joke? If not, here’s another: Comic Sans walks into a bar and the barman says, “sorry we don’t serve your type here” ha-ha? Okay, we’ll stop with the nerdy design jokes now.
