ADEK Opens Scholarship Applications for Exceptional Emirati Students

The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has announced a new scholarship program for outstanding Emirati students, offering funding across 100 academic specialisations at some of the world’s top universities. Applications are open until April 30th, with assessments continuing in May and final selections taking place in June and July.

The scholarships cover fields including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Renewable Energy, Clean Technology, Healthcare and Biotechnology, Financial Technology, Digital Banking, Sustainable Agriculture and Food Technology. Postgraduate students can also apply for scholarships in specialised fields such as Marriage and Family Therapy, Child and Family Development Studies, Medical Sciences, Mental Health Counselling and Behavioural Medicine.

In addition to tuition, students will receive mentorship from academic supervisors, access to specialised workshops, one-on-one coaching, and performance-based financial incentives. They will also benefit from internships and career support services, with employment opportunities through ADEK’s network of over 180 partners.

To be eligible, applicants must be Emirati citizens aged 17 to 24, with a minimum Grade 11 score of 85% and at least 90% in the first semester of Grade 12. They must also achieve an IELTS score of 6.0 or TOEFL score of 60 and secure unconditional admission to one of the world’s top 150 universities by May 2025.
