Already ranking among the top universities in the region, the American University in Cairo has nabbed another accolade,
Already ranked as one of the best universities in the Middle East and Africa, the American University in Cairo now has something else to add to their list of accomplishments.
According to Eduniversal, a global ranking and rating agency specialising in higher education headquartered in Paris, the AUC’s Master of Arts programme in journalism and mass communication is number one in all of Africa.
The website gets its information based on a global survey of 5,000 international recruiters, 800,000 students and over 10,000 representatives from 1,000 academic institutions in 154 countries and with that much info, you can say it’s pretty accurate. Not to mention this website is the ONLY ranking service which evaluates masters programmes worldwide in more than 30 fields of study.
Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications, Nalia Hamdy, released a statement to AlBawaba saying: “We are very happy and proud of this ranking. I have been teaching for 20 years in the Department of Journalism and Mass communications and I feel like I have been rewarded for a life-time commitmen. Our MA program is a very special program, although we teach in English but the research we do and the multicultural caliber of students we have, makes us stand out. What is special about the program is how it provides an American quality education but based in the heart of the Middle East.”
Hats off to you AUC well done way to put Egypt on the map.
