Agricultural Bank of Egypt Launches Eco-Friendly Credit Cards
Made out of plant-based materials, the card is the first of its kind to be manufactured for an Egyptian bank.
Plastic credit cards will soon be a thing of the past with new eco-friendly credit cards, officially issued by the Agricultural Bank of Egypt.
Made out of renewable plant-based materials, the entire process behind these cards emit 73% less carbon than their traditional plastic counterparts, from production until disposal or replacement.
The project is a collaboration between the Agricultural Bank of Egypt and banking and technology solution companies VISA, Giesecke+Devrient, and i-Finance. The card is the first of its kind to be manufactured for an Egyptian bank, and is part of the nationwide sustainable development vision for 2030.
