Ain Shams University has just landed among the ranks of the top 200 universities in the world for space sciences - or physics and astronomy. QS, a global institution that classifies the 1,000 best universities in the world, has chosen Ain Shams University among them based on academic reputation, facilities, qualification of its graduates and scientific publications among a host of other criteria. In previous years, the university sat in the nether regions of the rankings, bouncing between 450-500.
The university has maintained its ranking among the top 500 global universities in all other faculties, including engineering (305th) and life sciences and medicine in (376th).
