Jadal, Akher Zapheer & More: Alexandria’s International Summer Fest Announces Biggest Line-Up Yet

In what is shaping up to be its biggest edition yet, the International Summer Festival in Alexandria is set to gather artists from all around the world for a month of concerts, film screenings, seminar and lectures on film and music, workshops, theatrical performances and activities for children, all of which will take place at Bibliotheca Alexandria.

Running between Friday 26th of July and Saturday 31st of August, the mega arts event will notably feature concerts by some of the biggest names in in the Middle East, including Jordanian rock band, Jadal (pictured in main image), punk-influenced compatriots, Akher Zapheer, Mr soulful romantic himself, Ali El Haggar, famed Egyptian composer, Omar Khairat, Egyptian singers Medhat Saleh and Khaled Selim, and Egyptian rockers Wust El Balad.

The even is as much about learning and oroviding opportunities, with some of the workshops and talks covering everything from song production, to colour grading for film. Now in its 17th annual edition, the festival is as varied and eclectic as it has ever been, with the schedule also featuring acts Japan, Switzerland and other countries.
