Aswan Appoints its First Female Director of Administrative Prosecution

For the first time, Aswan has appointed a woman as the governorate's Director of Administrative Prosecution. Counsellor Heba Awad is set to take the post in a historical move - although it would not be the first time she's made such strides. In 1997, soon after obtaining a Bachelor of Law at Assiut University, Counsellor Awad became the first woman to be appointed by the Administrative Prosecution in general.

Awad has worked in the prosecution offices of Aswan and Luxor since then, and in 2015, she was appointed as the deputy head of the Aswan technical prosecution office.
