The centre is the first of its kind in Aswan, providing free medical services for patients from throughout the governorate. The centre includes 60 beds, two outpatient clinics, a playground, and a number of workshops to help recovering patients seek job opportunities as well as psychological, social and professional rehabilitation.

The Ministry of Social Solidarity operates a hotline for people seeking rehabilitation from addiction and drug abuse, which can be contacted at 16023.
