Bayside Brings Decadence to the Beach

LET’S GO THE BEACH, BEACH, LET’S GO GET AWAY! Sorry, we heard the word beach and that was the first thing that came to mind. Ah, that Nicki and her catchy ludicrous lyrics. But we digress. The reason for our hunger-addled minds breaking into song is because someone brought up Bayside and our beach-loving hearts started beating in overdrive.

The seaside spot is an exclusive beach resort, with only 45 - rather swanky - cabanas overlooking their ridiculously turquoise blue lagoon in Hacienda Bay. Because there’s nothing like waking up to sunshine and bright blue waters and sand between your toes to have you convinced once again that the world is good and life is dandy and all such things. Plus they’ve got an infinity pool overlooking the beach. And we’re suckers for an infinity pool. Because let’s be honest, who isn’t?

This spot is set to be the place people are all falling all over themselves to book for this summer, mark our words. We suggest you get ahead of the group and book now because we all know that by next week those limited number cabanas will get snatched up faster than you can say Sahel. It is opulent beachside living at its finest. Plus with the arrangement of all the rooms surrounding the lagoon in a semi-circle, it’s a little like summer camp – you know, if summer camp was like, really luxurious and for adults who enjoy the finer things in life like infinity pools and cocktails and room service. Can you say cabana-hopping? This is the place to be this Eid. It’s where you can gallivant around the pool in your itsy bitsy swimsuit (yes, we mean boys too – swimwear for men has really shrunk) and show off your Sahel body (which may need a little tweaking after Ramadan).

In the meantime, if you’re looking to run away from the city during Ramadan, they’re actually taking bookings now. Because screw the city; everything is better by the beach. Fasting will feel fabulous. They serve up Iftar and Sohour and their food looks downright delicious. From shish tawook to pizza to ta3meya (gourmet ta3meya obviously), they've got all your hunger pangs covered.
