The governorate of South Sinai has inaugurated a Bedouin village within the Green Zone at COP27, creating a vibrant showcase of Bedouin culture. Set within the El Salam botanical park, the village replicates several aspects of Bedouin life, with the hopes of spotlighting local voices while highlighting tourist opportunities in Sharm El Sheikh.

The Green Zone is a live platform where communities can make themselves heard, including civil and indigenous societies, academia, youth groups, as well as prominent artists and fashion designers. The Green Zone promotes dialogue, education and awareness through events, exhibitions, cultural performances and workshops.
