Amideast, an American non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting Middle Eastern education and development, has launched an advanced science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) centre at their Cairo office, in partnership with Boeing, the world’s leading aircraft manufacturer.

The STEM Center will be managed by Amideast and funded by Boeing, and will offer a diverse offering of programmes to equip local students with the knowledge and skills they need to operate at the top of their fields. These programmes will be focused on developing students’ creativity and problem solving skills, allowing them to pursue employment and tackle modern issues that will help Egyptian youth find success in the 21st century.

You may already know Amideast if you’ve ever taken an SAT exam; since it was founded in 1951, the non-profit organisation has created and managed several training and development activities in the Middle East and North Africa, including the Fulbright Foreign Student Program, Youth Exchange and Study, The Hope Fund, and Rise Initiative.
