Stop the presses... a new burger joint is in town. Imagine that. A GOURMET BURGER PLACE!!! But wait, before we get all cynical and contrary, who cares if the market seems to be saturated in meat. The more the merrier we say. And so a big hearty welcome to a new joint that's just landed in Heliopolis (well at least it's not Zamalek).

Founded by Ahmed Shebl and Abdelrahman El Masry The Street's slogan is 'Old Style Burgers & Chips', promising no nonsense simple ingredients and just pure tasty burgers. "We decided to open a fun garage style burger place and to do it with the real old style burgers without any additives so you taste and feel the real meat quality." Shebl told us.

Sourcing high quality Brazilian Beef usually served with hand cut chips (we love that they call them chips and not fries) the restaurant's aesthetic is simple and down to earth, blackboards and graffiti sprawl the walls and drinks are served in ice buckets. It seems like the perfect place to stop by for a not-so-junk food fix.
