Cairo Hospital Houses First AI-Aided Unit to Diagnose Skin Diseases

The Ministry of Health and Population inaugurated the first AI-aided dermatological diagnosis unit in Egypt. Installed at Al-Houd Al-Marsoud Hospital, a specialised hospital for dermatological and venereal diseases in Cairo, the unit is equipped with the world’s most cutting-edge device for skin examination to help early diagnose skin cancer, hair loss, and measure the severity of psoriasis.

Remote examination of dermatological and venereal diseases is set to be conducted across Egypt’s governorates, with Al-Houd Al-Marsoud Hospital being its main centre.
