Cairo Metro Offers Iftar Meals to Passengers During Ramadan
The initiative aims to distribute approximately 150,000 light breakfast meals throughout the metro network during Ramadan.
The Ministry of Transport, in collaboration with Egyptian Metro Company and Egyptian Food Bank, has launched the ‘We Will Break the Fast at the Station’ campaign for the fourth year in a row. This initiative aims to provide travelers with light meals during the holy month of Ramadan.
The campaign will distribute 5,000 pre-packaged snacks daily at key stations on Cairo Metro Lines 1 and 2, coinciding with the Maghrib call to prayer.. These stations include Shubra El-Kheima, Koliet El-Zeraa, Al-Shuhadaa, Attaba, Sadat, Nasser and Giza, chosen for their high passenger density.
Passengers can receive these meals - consisting of a water bottle, juice and biscuits - at stations and even inside trains.
The initiative aims to distribute a total of approximately 150,000 light breakfast meals throughout the metro network during Ramadan, offering support and convenience to commuters during this important religious period.
