Budding skaters and those who’ve impulsively bought roller skates this Christmas in hopes of embarking on a treacherous journey through Egyptian streets, look no further because 6th of October city is now home to a full-fledged skatepark.

Split into two zones - a flat zone for beginners and an advanced zone for experts - the skate park is decked out in custom graffiti art and enveloped in an overarching desire to to flip your woes away and slide into your newly-designated favourite hobby. To those looking to do more than simply graze their knee on grey flooring then perhaps an hour long session at the skatepark’s in-house academy is the perfect remedy to ensuing skate-wrecks.

Monthly packages for hour-long private sessions are available upon request and range from EGP 400 to EGP 1000. And because skates are - at times - a fashion faux pas, the park offers rentals and EGP 100 day-use tickets to those looking for a daytime escape from all of life’s menial demands.

The skate park is open everyday from 12 PM to 12 AM.
