Capacity Rates at Malls, Restaurants & Cinemas Increased to 70%
In light of the shift in weekly infections and the promise of local large-scale vaccine manufacturing, Egypt will loosen some of the precautionary measures that have been placed against COVID-19.
Egypt is increasing the occupancy rate in hotels, cinemas, theaters, restaurants and cafes from 50% to 70%.
The decision reflects the government’s view that the conditions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic have improved on a governoratorial level. In light of the shift in weekly infections and the promise of local large-scale vaccine manufacturing, Egypt has agreed to loosen some of the precautionary measures that have been placed against COVID-19.
One million doses have started to go through production, while being checked for quality by the Egyptian Drug Authority. Meanwhile, Egypt continues to contract and supply more liquid oxygen along with vaccines from AstraZeneca, Sinopharma, Sinovac, and Sputnik.
