'City of Gold' to Be Built in New Administrative Capital

No, we’re not talking about El Dorado. The Ministry of Trade and Industry will establish a 'City of Gold' - an industrial complex to support the business of gold production - in the New Administrative Capital.

With the global market for jewellery growing past USD 228 billion annually, the Egyptian government is eager to leverage its untapped gold reserves to increase its share in the market.

The 'City of Gold' will include 400 production workshops, 150 training workshops for various other aspects of the industry, and an industrial school. The school will be integrated with the 'Egypt Gold School' in Obour City, where a similar industrial complex for gold was set up in 2021.
