Coptic Liquor Store Owner Murdered in Alexandria
A surveillance video footage showing a bearded man slitting the throat of a Coptic liquor store owner in Alexandria sparks outrage and speculation on social media as the motives behind the brutal murder remain undetermined by authorities.

A surveillance video footage circulated yesterday of a murder that took place in front of a shop in Alexandria. In the surveillance camera footage, a bearded man approaches Youssef Lamie, the shop owner, from the back and slits his throat. According to Tahrir News, security sources declared that the motives behind the murder are yet to be determined, with no links yet established between the murder and the shop owner being Coptic or that the shop was selling liquor, as many speculated on social media.
After being identified from the footage, the suspect was arrested today by officers from the Security Directorate of Alexandria, and is currently being interrogated, according to Al-Masry Al-Youm.
