The Coptic Orthodox Church will be resuming Friday mass as of next month.
Aug 24, 2020
After a six-month shutdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Coptic Orthodox Church will be resuming Friday masses starting September 11th. While some services were brought back on August 3rd after case numbers for COVID-19 began to decline, Friday mass was still restricted to ensure that those numbers stay down.
Friday masses will have a limited capacity for congregants, alongside a number of precautionary measures. Church nurseries will also be reopening, but at a fifty percent capacity. Other church activities will remain suspended for the time being.
