However, with the tide slowly turning on where women stand Egyptian society, more and more companies are working towards including women in the workforce and DHL is no different.

The logistics tycoon has joined the recent feminist wave taking over Egypt and marked women’s day by celebrating its first ever female courier in Egypt and in the MENA region.
As part of a joint effort with the Egyptian government, a number of Egyptian companies have been hiring more women and working towards bringing the wider Vision 2030 initiative to life. Said initiative seeks to develop women’s role in the country's workforce as well as tackling the numerous social issues plaguing our society. Dubbing 2017 the year of the Egyptian woman, the country is taking several measure to ensure the inclusion of women in all societal aspects. Following suit, DHL takes pride in its role of being the first Arab employer to bring a female courier into its world of logistics.
Nasra, DHL’s newest addition, is excited at being the first Egyptian woman to break the courier mold.
“I am hopeful that this will encourage a lot of women to follow a diverse set of career paths, so long as they have the abilities and skills.
