Dahab Fest: Safe & Sound

The Events Boutique (TEB) and Mateegi are coming together to bring to you Dahab Fest, a four-day event scheduled for January 22nd through the 25th, and - as indicated by its name - it's happening in the quaint Red Sea resort town. Bent on transforming Dahab into a haven for kite surfing, yoga, diving, arts, music, and much more, you are sure to find something for every taste at this all encompassing festival. 

It's all about Dahab here, as you can tell from the festival's name, and in light of the global #ThisIsEgypt campaign, TEB and Mateegi are trying to bring the small village back to its former glory. They claim that "Dahab Fest is the start of a series of events organised to support tourism, and is targeting 1,000 attendees of different backgrounds." The festival will have a multitude of activities to take part in; from diving courses and safari trips to fitness camps and musical entertainment where some of Egypt's favourite bands are set to appear. Add to that the town's golden beaches and spectacular mountain scenes, and you've got one hell of a winning combo. 

If you haven't been to Dahab yet then this is your chance to explore it in style. If, like many of us, you have been to the spectacular Red Sea diving resort before, you will know that Dahab is famous for its unique rustic feeling, which differentiates it from other resort towns like Sharm. Unlike the latter, Dahab is still untouched by the clutter of modern society; only a handful of big name hotels exist there, and not one fast food chain exists within the town's vicinity!
