Darb El Ahmar’s Sabil of Abdel-Baqi Kheir El-Din Opens to Public

The Supreme Council of Antiquities has announced the opening of Abdel-Baqi Kheir El-Din’s Sabil and Kottab to the public, after renovations were carried out under the supervision of the council and with the cooperation of the residents of Darb El Ahmar.

Renovations were also carried out at Al Hakim B’amr Allah mosque, which will be opened soon, alongside the restorations of 12 artefacts. Shuttles have been installed to ease the process for tourists. Tickets will be priced at EGP 120 for foreigners and EGP 20 for Egyptians.

Due to the underdevelopment of tourist trails and spots in Darb El Ahmar and other areas across Egypt, the Supreme Council has partnered with Aga Khan Foundation to maintain the efficiency of such areas.
