Dubai Is Officially Getting Its Own Las Vegas Sphere
The Dubai Sphere will be located in the centre of three Vegas hotels—MGM Grand, Bellagio and Aria.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock (if you do, who can blame you?), you’ve probably heard of the iconic Vegas Sphere, the music and entertainment arena in, well, Las Vegas.
Now, MGM, the mastermind behind the original, is bringing the world-famous sphere to The Island, a Las Vegas-style hub in Dubai that will feature an MGM Grand, a Bellagio, an Aria, and, in the centre, the Dubai Sphere.
Although the Middle Eastern iteration of the sphere will not be as large—with a capacity of 300 instead of 18,600—it will still have a mini showroom with shows that walk you through the history of Dubai, and all the visual showstoppers one can expect inside this world-famous structure.
