E-Ticketing Systems Implemented at 22 Tourist Sites Across Egypt

The number of archaeological sites with e-ticketing systems for visitors across Egypt has been raised to 100, after 22 more sites were equipped with modernised mobile ticketing.

This comes as part of an ongoing effort to digitise the tourism and antiquities sector. The initiative now encompasses sites across various governorates, including the Virgin Mary tree and Matariya Obelisk in Cairo, Abydos Temple in Sohag, Meidum Pyramid in Beni Sweif, and the necropolis of Zawyet Sultan and Beni Hassan in Meniya.

Visitors can now also purchase tickets online through the official ministry website, or at on-site ticketing kiosks. Some self-service ticketing machines are also being installed at the most visited archaeological sites across the country.
