Eastern Company Raises Tobacco Prices by 12%
The price hike, effective immediately, marks the fourth adjustment on the price of their tobacco products in 2024.
Eastern Company, Egypt’s largest tobacco producer, has announced a 12% increase in the price of its local tobacco products, including cigarette brands such as Cleopatra. The price hike, effective immediately, marks the fourth adjustment in 2024, following similar increases in February, April and July.
The decision to raise prices was made during a board of directors meeting, where a new price list was approved for all Eastern Company products. This includes brands like Cleopatra, Mondial, Boston, Belmont, c, Viceroy and Pall Mall. As a result, a pack of Cleopatra 10-box cigarettes will now retail at EGP 27, up from EGP 25, while a 20-cigarette pack will see a jump from EGP 34.72 to EGP 38.7.
