Eastern Company to Print Prices on Cigarette Packs to Stop Fraud

In order to combat the practice of unsanctioned increases in cigarette costs through price hikes by individual shopkeepers, the Eastern Tobacco Company has announced it will directly print cigarette prices on the packets from September.

Officially, cigarette prices haven’t increased over the past three years. In spite of that fact, there have been complaints about random increases by sellers, a fraudulent practice which the company now hopes will be addressed.
