Egypt Exported Goods Worth USD 43 Billion in 2022
Egypt’s most exported commodities included natural gas, fertilizers, crude oil, and read-made garments.
Egypt documented a record USD 43 billion in export values during the first 10 months of 2022 in comparison to the previous year’s USD 34.7 billion, meaning that the country’s export value increased by USD 8 billion.
According to the periodic bulletin issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics in Egypt (CAPMAS), Spain and Turkey came in the list of countries that import the most from Egypt, with a value of USD 3.1 billion each. Italy ranked third, with imports worth USD 2.8 billion. In fourth and fifth places, Saudi Arabia and the United States of America came with two billion dollars of Egyptian imports each.
Egypt’s top exported commodities included natural gas (USD 7.9 billion), fertilizers (USD 2.7 billion), crude oil (USD 2.6 billion), and surprisingly, ready-made garments (USD 2.1 billion).
