The cooperation establishes a headquarters for both Royal Colleges in Cairo, where doctors can undergo training in surgery and medicine.

Cairo Scene

England’s Royal College of Physicians, and the Royal College of Surgeons, has signed a protocol of cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to develop health care in Egypt.

Formalizing the existing partnership with these prestigious British institutions, the cooperation establishes a headquarters for both Royal Colleges in Cairo, and allows for the training of doctors in medicine and surgery, starting with the field of ophthalmology as hosted by the Institute of Eye Research in Cairo.

Egypt’s attentiveness to the importance of enhancing research and development is also spotlighted through the Anglo-Egyptian medical cooperation, with a particular focus on high-level scientific research institutions across the world, and benefiting from partnerships with internationally acclaimed universities and research institutions.
