Egypt Sends Medical Equipment to Help with Beirut Explosion

Two military planes full of medical equipment have been sent from Egypt to Lebanon to help with the aftermath of an explosion at a port in Beirut, which has so far claimed over a hundred lives and left thousands injured. The planes were ordered by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to urgently attend to the humanitarian crisis.

"My sincere condolences and sympathy to our brothers in Lebanon over the tragic explosion that took place today in the Lebanese capital, Beirut," President Sisi said. "We pray to God to speedily recover the wounded and inspire the families of the victims with patience and solace.”
