Egypt’s First Diving Medicine Hospital is Being Built in Dahab

Egypt's first specialised diving medicine hospital is being built in Dahab. The hospital will operate within the Health Care Authority system in the governorate of South Sinai by July 2024.

The ongoing construction work has reached 65%, with the total cost exceeding EGP 550 million. The capacity of the hospital will include 120 beds, a reception area, an emergency department, 10 outpatient clinics, three operating suites, an intensive care unit, a unit for incubators, and a unit for dialysis.

Additionally, the hospital will offer hotel accommodation for doctors. Once operational, the hospital will be included in the Health Care Authority system, and services will be transferred from the old general hospital to the new specialised hospital.
