Egypt's First Nike Run

As part of the global 'We Run' series of races, Cairo joins the sports giant's fitness challenge this December 27th at Wadi Degla. Find out how to get involved in this exciting international event...

Get ready to challenge your own personal best as the first-ever Nike Run hits Cairo with a 10k run on December 27th 2014. Nike Run Cairo is part of  the sports giant’s We Run series which will see more than 200,000 runners compete in 18 races around the world. Runners will be able to take their run goals to the next level with the latest footwear and apparel innovations, including the Nike Zoom Structure 18 for women. This state-of-the-art running shoe features firmer foam for increased stability, along with ultra-responsive, high-speed cushioning to go faster, longer. The Nike+ Running app is the ultimate ‘running coach in a pocket’ and will provide runners everywhere with the motivation, inspiration and coaching they need to train for races,  no matter the distance.

The Nike Run Cairo will take place at Wadi Degla The Protectorate, an impressive pristine escape, just minutes  from  Maadi. The event kicks off at 10 am   with approximately 400 runners challenging themselves on a route that has been carefully tailored to showcase the best of the landscape, bringing runners head to head with some of Egypt’s best athletes.

Whether you are just starting out, or wanting to crush your personal best, the first  Nike+ Run Club in Cairo, located in Kattameya Heights, will enable you to run and train with like-minded runners to get you all set for Nike Run Cairo 10 k. Nike+ Run Club is a free, weekly social meet for runners offering plenty of motivation, support and guidance from Nike+ experts, who meet every Friday morning at 9:30am.

Registration for Nike Run Cairo 10 k run opens todau and entry is free.  Runners must register as of December 17th  on : https://www.nike.com/events-registration/event?id=6554  and only once runners receive an email notification is their spot guaranteed.

Entry to the run is limited to 400 runners, and confirmed registered runners will be able to collect their race packs on the run day, December 27th, at Wadi Degla. Runners are encouraged to arrive early as the run will start at 11 am.
