Egypt's Ibrahim Elkabbani Wins University of Birmingham Open

Elkabbani had won in straight games at New Street Station's glass court, finally defeating English player Miles Jenkins to lock in the Championship spot.

Egyptian squash player Ibrahim Elkabbani has secured a spot in the 2021-2022 PSA World Championships in Cairo, after taking the title at the University of Birmingham Open. Elkabbani had won in straight games at New Street Station's glass court, finally defeating English player Miles Jenkins to lock in the Championship spot.


On the women's side, Japan's Satomi Watanabe claimed the title at the University of Birmingham Open, narrowly beating Egypt's Nour Aboulmakarim in the finals.


The PSA World Championships Cairo 2022 will begin on May 13th and run until May 22nd.
