Egypt's Meteorological Authority Predicts Week-Long Heat Wave
The temperature will rise to 43 degrees Celsius in Upper Egypt throughout the heat wave.
The General Authority for Meteorology announced that Egypt will experience a heat wave this week, from Monday, September 16th to Saturday, September 21st. The temperature is expected to rise to a maximum of 43 degrees Celsius in Upper Egypt. Greater Cairo and the Delta region, meanwhile, are expected to experience a minimum of 32 degrees Celsius.
September 16th will reach an average of 35 degrees Celsius across the country, while on September 17th, the average will drop to 34.8 C. The temperature drops to an average of 33.6 C on September 18th, before rising again to 35.8 C on the 19th. It will then continue to rise to an average of 37.8 C on September 20th, and reach a maximum average of 39 degrees celsius on the 21st.
The heat is expected to feel two to three degrees Celsius higher than the actual temperatures throughout the entire week.
