Egypt’s Ministry of Awqaf Reallocates Hajj Funds to Support Those Affected by COVID-19

The Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf has announced that it will not be sending an official delegation of Sheikhs and Islamic scholars to Hajj this year. Instead, they will reallocate the dedicated budget for the Hajj to support Egyptians who are fighting the Coronavirus. While Saudi Arabia halted Umrah earlier this month to contain the spread  of the pandemic, no news has been revealed regarding the status of Hajj this summer.
